Osteopathy
It is a therapy dedicated to the restoration of the musculoskeletal apparatus and posture. The three basic pillars of body movement are thus studied: bones , muscles and joints, and how they interact to achieve complex movements. In turn, the entire soft tissue network is studied, such as fasciae, tendons , or ligaments. Once all this is known, the way to improve these possible alterations of this system and their correction is analyzed.
Osteopathic manual therapy uses manual techniques exclusively (no type of device is used, as in other forms of treatment) and is aimed at any of the tissues that are affected, be these of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, visceral system, ….
One of the most frequent applications for which osteopathy is known are joint correction techniques applied at the level of the locomotor system. But its main objective is to reach an optimal functional diagnosis. For this we will divide it into three variants of osteopathy:
Structural Osteopathy
Through a diagnosis we will establish a treatment plan, applying the most successful manual techniques and in this way act on the injured tissue (muscular, articular, connective, nervous) obtaining, in this way, a series of bodily reactions that help to balance and normalize the alterations present, thus helping to improve or resolve the discomfort.
